COVID 19 & VISITING THE CHURCH

As restrictions are lifting and more people are venturing outdoors and visiting places that were shut for a period because of Covid19, we must not forget that the Coronavirus – Covid19 is still very active in our country, our county and possibly our community. Covid19 is still a very serious virus that can leave you feeling very unwell, hospitalise you or even kill you.

We must do everything possible to prevent contracting the virus or spreading it to others. This can be done by practising good cough/sneeze etiquette, wearing a face mask on public transport, this is also recommended while out and about, visiting shops and indoor buildings including churches, keep a social distance of 2 metres from others and washing your hands often. Sanistising your hands when you cannot wash them will help in preventing the spread of the virus.

We in Bandon Parish encourage you to sanitise your hands on entering and leaving the church at the many sanitising stations available to you. If you have a little sanitising bottle on your person feel free to use it often within the church as you participate in Mass. The church is sanitised frequently throughout the day.

If you feel unwell, have a temperature, sore throat, dry cough or breathing difficulties please stay at home and contact your GP.

We are all responsible now for keeping each other safe. Please Follow the guidelines that the are within the church for your safety. Listen to the stewards who are there to help you and remember to keep a social distance of 2 metres from others unless you are all from the same household.

We can all make a difference by being sensible, being responsible and staying safe.
