Feast of the Epiphany

We make New Year’s resolutions to change something about our lives.

On the feast of the Epiphany the three wise men appeared in Bethlehem to see Jesus. Mary, Joseph and the shepherds were ordinary everyday people and nobody took much notice of them, but when these 3 strangers arrived then people began to say this child must be somebody important. Some of the resolutions that we make are important, they can help us to change our lives or make them better or easier. Jesus didn’t do an easy life but he wanted to make people’s lives better and to give them a second chance. Maybe our new year’s resolutions can do that for ourselves and for others too.
