A new initiative for Bandon Parish- the Diocese of Cork and Ross have chosen Bandon Parish to be one of the Pilot Parishes to use the TAP 2 DONATE as part of the Mass Collections.
The TAP 2 DONATE will enable people to make a secure donation with the tap of a debit/credit card or smart phone any time when the Church is open.
The payment point will shortly be in St Patrick’s Church. The donations will go towards the Masses Offertory Collections.
The Offertory Collections finance the upkeep and maintenance of the Churches in Bandon Parish – this includes lighting, heating, salaries, insurance, upkeep of cemeteries, liturgical supplies, necessary supplies and repairs and much more that is needed to allow our parish to continue to serve the congregation while providing a welcoming and safe environment for all who visit.
To use the TAP 2 DONATE system:
- Choose from one of the pre-set amounts or choose your own amount.
- insert your card and enter your PIN OR present your card or smartphone to the contactless symbol and tap
3. Wait for the on-screen confirmation.
